I've read that the sports programs at the top 10-or-something universities make money while those of all others lose money. Where could that money possibly come from...?
Several European countries have no tuition fees whatsoever (for citizens of the country or the EU that don't study too slowly), Austria among them. We simply don't see why studying (without working the entire family's asses off) should be a privilege for rich people.
