RE: Paul on Scientific Illustration

I agree - this would be the book that Jerry is after. Note that there is a
later edition that is completely reworked by different authors/artists which
has more modern techniques like computer based models etc. There's a palaeo
chapter in that too, but Paul wasn't the author. (Very different - both
good, though as an 'old school' artist find Paul's a great reference.)
