Dear List,

    I hope I don't come across as callous considering that this quake has
caused the worst natural disaster in modern history, but what about Flores
and the Komodo Islands? I just read a blurb that a national park in Sri
Lanka, while littered with human bodies, seems to have no animal deaths. The
director has gone on record that the animals, including Asian Elephants and
the highest concentration of asiatic leopards apparently have a "sixth sense
", and litterally headed for the hills, and beat the Tsunomi. I wonder if
the Komodo Dragons were as clairvoyant? Has anyone heard?
