Of the 87,000 or so people killed (so far), only 10 were Australians
(with 12 still missing). All of those were in S.E.Asia at the time. As
far as Australian fatalities are concerned, the Bali nightclub bombing
killed more of us. Apparently we're only the 'lucky country' where
natural disasters are concerned...
If there were any unusually large waves on the N.W. coastline of
Australia, there were probably no people there to see them.
