Looks like the type species is from the same beds as Caudipteryx's type, so Late Barremian-Early Aptian.
 
That was originally thought, but back then the genuinely Jurassic formations of the area hadn't yet been recognized as distinct. Hone & Lü (2012) thought it was more likely that the isolated specimen, obtained from illegal dealers, was from the Late (probably not Middle) Tiaojishan Formation.
