Iâm confused here. This isnât the same as the Oculodentavis case.  The paper was suspended, not withdrawn. Doesnât that mean that it could be reissued once things are worked out with the Government of Brazil, and if so wouldnât that name still be valid but, possibly, with a different publication date? Why is the name invalid?

I used to think that the invalid publication of a name made it unusable even if later published validly, but I think I was wrong.

Yes; as the name does not exist, it does not compete for homonymy, so the same name can be used again.

Personally I like the name and think it should be kept...
