I've checked with Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, and they both show dark 
grey text on
a white background for me. The grey in question is about 40% of the way between 
black and white , 
so it's a bit darker than medium grey. It's possible the gamma settings on your 
display device are
too high.

I can also see lots of comments, and an interface that allows you to add them.
