I've been contacted by people concerned or suspicious about the
https://urldefense.com/v3/ that reroutes the original urls posted to the DML. This is a security feature to make sure url links in emails are not malicious and do not redirect to another insecure or deceptive site and/or one that has malware and other issues. It's a good feature that was added a few years ago. Even if the url displays as the original, it will go through URL Defense.
Here's a general explanation from a university website:
You can extract the original url from the URL Defense version in a straightforwardÂway if youÂdo not want to click on the URL Defense link,Âwhich should take you to the site where you can get the original url.
Basically, you need to separate the urldefenseÂstring from the original url by separating the long underscores inserted at the beginning and at the end of the original string.ÂÂ
