Warm-blooded velociraptors? Fossilized proteins unravel dinosaur mysteries

"Mammals, pterosaurs, and two-legged dinosaurs such as the fast-moving Allosaurus and Deinonychus had the signature of warm-blooded animals. Mammallike reptiles that lived 300 million years ago turned up as barely warm-blooded, and quadrupedal dinosaurs such as Triceratops appeared to have even slower metabolisms. The ancestors of lizards and snakes appeared to be cold-blooded."
