Jura-Museum EichstÃtt to reopen
Because of funding and management issues with the Catholic seminary in the Willibaldsburg castle where it has been housed, the Jura Museum (with Archaeopteryx, Juravenator, Âand other important fossils from the region) has been closed. According to the Bavarian Ministry of Culture, Âthe Stiftung der Katholischen UniversitÃt EichstÃtt-Ingolstadt [Catholic University of EichstÃtt-Ingolstadt Foundation]Âwill be the sponsor of the research museum starting July 1. A new opening date for the museum (with renovations and improvements) has not been determined.
