New gigantic Romanian pterosaur news now out in English (improves my literal translation of the exhibit name, here as "Emperors of the Skies")

Some recent items:

New gigantic pterosaur from Romania, said to be a new taxon and the largest pterosaur ever found, nicknamed "Dracula," goes on display at new pterosaur exhibit âHerrscher der LÃfteâ [Lords of the Air] at the Dinosaurier-Museum AltmÃhltal; said to be known from virtually all parts of the skeleton, allowing an accurate reconstruction. Because of its enormous size (as big as a giraffe) and weight (est. half a metric ton), there is some question of whether it could actually fly, although it had a 12 meter wingspan. The new pterosaur lived after Hatzegopteryx, at the very end of the Cretaceous. It may have been the largest predator at the time on the island where it lived.ÂA scientific description is planned for publication in the autumn.ÂÂÂ(in German)
