Dinosaur casts and specimens at Brownâs Farm Barn in Millcreek, Pennsylvania
Anybody know more about the giant T. rex tooth said to be 17-inch (43 cm) long? Has it been described?
"The exhibit features fossils from Mercyhurst Universityâs Sincak Collection and others loaned by private owners. There also are casts of bones and fossils on exhibit around the world. One of the casts is of a 17-inch Tyrannosaurus rex tooth that has scientists rethinking the size of the predator dinosaur that lived on our planet almost 70 million years ago.
âIt was thought that T-rex was up to 45 feet long. Now the thinking is that it may have been as much as 60 feet long. That dwarfs the things you see in movies,â Scott McKenzie said. McKenzie is assistant professor of geology and paleontology director at Mercyhurst University and is the curator of the 'Unearthed' exhibit."
