Panel discussion with Greg Tally and paleontologists Dr. Robert Bakker and Matthew Mossbrucker, analyzing the portrayal of dinosaurs in the early days of film (Gertie, Lost World (silent), King Kong) with audience of kids and adults at Denver Comic Con in Colorado; recording quality is OK but a bit shaky and echoey.
Correcting Bakker, note that the snake-like creature that wraps itself around King Kong in the 1933 movie was based on Charles R. Knight's inaccurate sinuous reconstruction of Elasmosaurus, not on Tanystropheus, which was still not very accurately or widely known at the time.
