Argentine and other Spanish language news sources have announced the
discovery of a huge sauropod in Chubut Province, Argentina. The photos
of the femur certainly suggest it may live up to the claim to be from
the biggest sauropod ever found, indicating an animal even larger than
Argentinosaurus, and possibly weighing 100 metric tons and stretching
40 meters long. It is from the Early Cretaceous and about 90 million
years old. The specimen is apparently fairly complete:
“es el hallazgo más completo de este tipo de dinosaurio a nivel mundial."
