I don't believe the ICZN demands anywhere that the gentival ending -i
be used with male names?

>From a Latin grammar standpoint, _cirugedae_ is correct if Cirugeda
is, quite, reasonably, adopted as a 1st declension masculine name. Cf
eg., _Sulla_, the name of the Roman general, genitive _Sullae_.
