I did not notice that in the Senter paper they have Cryptovolans pauli as a
valid taxon, when that is M. zhaoianus.
Because genera are often the taxonomic level used when comparing diversity
over time and place, oversplitting dinosaur genera risks falsely boosting
their diversity when compared to other vertebrates. That's cheating.
The evidence that S. zhaoianus is fully arboreal is so strong it is a tad
dull. The situation with Archaeopteryx is much more complicated and
interesting.
