*American* English speakers say "Terannadaan".  I would say
"Terannedon".  As someone who lives in a "I say tom-ah-to, she says
tom-ai-do" household, I'm painfully aware that pronunciations can
differ radically *within* the English language.  :-)

Exactly.  Even names based on ancient Latin and Greek are far removed
from how they were originally pronounced.  Many years ago, I was
surprised to learn that "Julius Caesar" was originally pronounced
something like "Yoo-lee-us Kie-sar".
