Soft tissue traces found in Archaeopteryx
Just out in PNAS: X-ray fluorescence imaging of the Thermopolis specimen of
Archaeopteryx shows traces of the original elements remain in the original
fossil. The most dramatic evidence is phosphorous along the rachis of the
feathers. New Scientist has my story at
http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn18882-soft-tissue-remnants-discovered-in-archaeopteryx-fossil.html
and it includes a link to PNAS.
