"Vide" in genus authorities?

What does it mean when there's a genus authority that looks something like:

*Abyssalsaurus* Marjanovic vide Peters and Habib 2010

?

I understand that "vide" is Latin for "see," but what sort of "situation" 
causes a need for that sort of thing? Would it be something along the lines of 
Marjanovic coining the name *Abyssalsaurus* and revealing the beasty in a 
presentation to the SVP, but Peters and Habib turning out to be the guys that 
actually ended up publishing a formal description?

I don't really get it. Can anyone help?
