It's almost certainly meant seriously, but who cares -- it's impossible
because you just can't bend a theropod's back like this. Theropods
aren't apes.
Besides, look how the head is oriented in those drawings. Large
theropods in general were unable to see what was dorsal to their heads
because various hornlets and crests stood in that line of sight, perhaps
to protect the eyes from the sun (before being further elaborated by
sexual selection and the like).
And the proportions of that *Tyrannosaurus* in the drawing are all
wrong. Yes, all of them.
