Amazing discovery of 100 dinosaur footprints
The footprints of a prehist-oric animal are clear to see in a rock layer in
Peru
More than 100 footprints and prehistoric fossils dating back to the time of the
dinosaurs have been uncovered during work on a new road.
Marine reptile species such as sauropterygians and ichthyosaurs were found,
alongside extinct species of crocodiles, flying reptiles called pterosaurs,
early tortoises and fish.
The site revealed the remains of at least 12 animals, which experts believe
date back 120million years to the Early Cretaceous
