Re: Looking for a quick-turnaround publication venue
Contributions to Zoology treated our latest paper* exceedingly quickly. So
quickly in fact that we had to submit a long list of changes after we got
the page proofs, though admittedly most of them were because we hadn't quite
understood the format -- the instructions to authors were out of date. And
then of course the paper itself has 51 pages. So, in sum, I highly recommend
this journal.
The opposite goes for the Journal of Paleontology, where my thesis
supervisor had a paper sleeping for IIRC a year and a half between
acceptance and publication.

dinosaurs, though, and not on turtles either.
