Arno Press (A New York Times Company), New York, 1980. "This is a volume in the
Arno Press collection THE HISTORY OF PALEONTOLOGY -- Advisory Editor: Stephen
Jay Gould; Consulting Editor: Thomas J.M. Schopf".
Interestingly, the original title page is reproduced behind the new one, and it
says "L. W. Price", while the new one says "L[lewellyn I.] Price".
BTW, I forgot something important about the word "egnorance": it's not a
portmanteau of "egomania" and "ignorance", it describes the combination of
arrogance and ignorance ("arrogance" here being the arrogance of believing that
just because I don't know or understand something, it follows logically that it
is unknown to science) and happens to be named after the creationist brain
surgeon Dr. Michael Egnor. Now I'll shut up about that topic as promised.
