Paul Sereno and Gabrielle Lyon have a great program called Project
Exploration that is exposing minority youth and young women in Chicago to
paleontology. Many go on to study science in college. Some may go on to
become paleontologists, too. I have met some of the participants and seen
them speak at Paleofest at the Burpee Museum of Natural History in Rockford,
Illinois.
