I haven't seen that issue of SA yet, but Knight did  a sculpture of this 
beast. He later corrected the head to make a proper  Edaphosaurus. A copy of 
the 
corrected sculpture is in the Philadelphia Academy  of Natural Sciences. Knight 
had to correct several of his Dimetrodon paintings.  DV
