Heh. good point. I meant as the everyday, old reliable kind of eatin'...

As to the record, I would like to see a plot of known sauros, body size vs 
time. I made a probably incomplete one years ago, but I am sure it is obsolete. 
Guess I might have to make another one, as I can't find one online. 

There are two mechanisms here; predation driven size increase, and the case 
where the prey, for whatever reason, can no longer increase their size (ie, 
'predators won'). What patterns constitute support/falsification will (just 
guessing) be contentious...

Is that so? Supersaurus is Tithonian/Kimmeridgian, Sauroposeidon is
Aptian/Albian, Argentinosaurus is Albian/Cenomanian.  Puertasaurus is
Maastrichtian, but so are a lot of small (by sauropod standards)
saltasaurines.
