_Talenkauen santacrucensis_ was described by Fernando Novas, Andrea 
Cambiaso, and Alberto Ambrosio in 2004.

Novas, F.E., Cambiaso, A.V. and Ambrioso, A. (2004).  A new basal 
iguanodontian (Dinosauria, Ornithischia) from the Upper Cretaceous of 
Patagonia.  Ameghiniana 41: 75-82.
