I gather this is David Peters' own unique interpretation of _Lotosaurus_'s 
relationships.  However, new and better material of the poposaurian genus 
_Arizonasaurus_ bolsters the hypothesis that _Lotosaurus_ is a 
ctenosauriscid (Nesbitt, 2003).  There's no reason to consider _Lotosaurus_ 
a dinosaur.
