IgNobel Awards

The closest award that might be appropriate is the IgNobel. The 'Igs' are
awarded each year by the publishers of the _Annals of Improbable
Research_ for accomplishments "that cannot or should not be reproduced."

The awards are supposed to be good natured fun, but not surprisingly,
some nominated researchers don't always receive the news well.
