I dion't think anyone has mentioned that Trevor Worthy et. al 's paper on the long-rumoured Miocene mammal from New Zealand is now online at PNAS:

It is apparently a new fifth post-mesozoic mammalian lineage (in addition to Eutheria, Metatheria, Multituberculata and Monotremata), though it is probably closest to Multituberculata.
