Dinosaurs are strictly land animals characterized by specific bone features. The sea monsters are marine reptiles. The pterosaurs are flying reptiles.
Very few vertebrates are strictly terrestrial. And as for dinosaurs specifically, there were likely volant forms outside of Aves proper, and of course most birds themselves are capable of flight, and more than a few are aquatic as well.
