The answer, of course, always depends on the parameters of the question.
Like, from George Carlin: Can you imagine a God so all powerful that he can
create a rock so large that he himself cannot lift it?
IMHO, if it's not safe for Q to spend a few hours probing for food in one pond,
Q will find another place to do it. So the predator question may be moot.
Smaller pterosaurs have left poling marks. What are your thoughts on them
taking off from hands-deep waters? And can these hypotheses be scaled up?
