I'm easy. Just delete the words 'trend toward' from my sentence below.
However, I don't think you'll find many early birds that have wing planforms
that seem to be specialized for gliding.

I would expect a trend toward higher aspect ratio for a glider.
How does one detect a trend, or lack thereof, in what amounts to a single
data point (i.e. Archaeopteryx)?
