Another possible explanation is that the tracks are a take off track 
where the animal got lighter as it flapped it's wings and ascended 
away.  Since there is no anatomy associated and the size of the animal 
was ostrich, it is possible.  There was no data in the article that 
talked about distance between tracks (running or walking).
