Actually, Martin seem to believe that Bambiraptor is a genuine dinosaur,
since in figure 3 he cites Barbourofelis and Thylacosmilus as examples of
convergent evolution, and then attempts to claim an analogous situation in
the relationship between Archaeopteryx and Bambiraptor.

Then he'd better find some consistent differences between them. For example, I don't know what the teeth of *Thylacosmilus* look like, but I bet I'd be able to tell within 10 seconds that it's a metatherian just from looking at those teeth. And no, I'm not the kind of people who can tell this way that *Barbourofelis* is not quite a cat.
