Is holding a neck horizontally and swinging it around really cheaper than taking a few steps? GSP says no...

The question of how large sauropods obtained enough
forage was quite controversial at one time, and never
satisfactorily resolved to my knowledge.

Obviously I haven't done any math, but can't they have eaten conifer needles like other people eat grass, I mean, er...?

Forests probably reached farther into dry regions in the Mesozoic than today, for two reasons: the absence of grass, and the extreme adaptations to drought of some Cheirolepidiaceae.
