If there is a food source out there, somebody probably took advantage of
it.
Oviraptorosaurs, maybe? This ecology was proposed for the Asian genus
_Conchoraptor_ (hence the name).
There has been speculation that some of the bigger mammals also chewed up
fresh water pelecypods as indicated by tooth wear.
This has been suggested for the Australian mammal _Kollikodon_ (Early
Cretaceous).
