Re: Antonio's grant
OK, time to fund some research. I think to get this going, we just
need to get this going. I will collect the funds and make it happen
one way or the other. The debate about HOW we will send it to Fabio
will have to be decided later when we get enough in the pot to send it
to him.
Toward that end....
My name is Franklin E. Bliss
My address is 1107 Parks Rd. Weston, Wyoming 82731.
For those of you in the US, send a Check or money order written to me
as I don't happen to have a non profit org to run the checks through
but I will open a separate bank account in Broadus Montana for record
keeping purposes. (I probably will have a tax issue which I will cover
on my own.) I will make a spread sheet of the funds as they arrive
Please note on the check what it is for (donation for grant to study
"Antonio"). If everyone on the list gives a few buck, we will make
Fabios day and contribute effectively to research. Those that are
fighting to get money to do your own research also, need not donate.
Our goal is 1000 US dollars. There is not a limit on what to
contribute as excess moneys will be given to the next deserving
researcher that pops up down the road. I will post an accounting when
the deal is done.
If this turns out to be a good thing, perhaps we can do it yearly.
Unless someone else has a better idea, lets just go ahead and get this
done.

OK guys. Let'a cut to the chase. All I need is an address to mail my $5
to so we can make this happen. Don't forget the zip code either please.

I consider a big responsability the economical support offered by
some
members of the DML (Allan, David, Don, Frank, Louise, Jim, Mike,
Patti,
Rik, Tommy), and I thank them for the offering. What can I offer in
exchange?
I maybe alone in this (and hopefully I'm not), but, your thanks
coupled with
the knowledge that I am assisting in the study of an extinct lifeform
is all
the reward I need.
And having the species named after me wouldn't hurt either. JOKE! :-)
