Fossil dragon

Did any paleo folk happen to attend the Chicago Lyric Opera's recent production of Wagner's opera Siegfried?

For anyone interested in mythology and fossils, the production was fascinating and revolutionary.
For the first time in opera history, the terrible dragon Fafnir was depicted on the stage as a gigantic, scary dinosaur skeleton.

Was the dino-like image perhaps influenced by the unveiling of the T. rex Sue at the Field Museum?

The fossil imagery is fitting for the story of Siegfried, since a dinosaur trackway in Germany was fabled to be the footprints of the dragon that the hero Siegfried battled.

I have a high-resolution digital image of the giant fossil dragon puppet from the opera. I'd be happy to email it to anyone who would like to see it. Contact me offline.
