some taxa evolve _after_ their discovery

All that wishing for JVP 4(1) just paid off as a former DMLer was kind enough
to furnish photocopies.

Araeoscelis is well known from two great skeletons. Prior (to Reisz, Berman and
Scott 1984) work was evidently well-considered but piecemeal and partly based
on a possible bolosaurid, hence the confusion.

Interesting how animals evolve after their discovery...

Maybe worth discussing regarding other taxa that likewise have 'evolved' in the
last hundred years.
