re: Arizonasaurus
I just read Nesbitt's paper on Arizonasaurus
Proc. R. Soc. Lond. B (Suppl.) 270, S234â??S237 (2003)
and I can't say I agree with Lotosaurus and Arizonasaurus belong in the same
clade. Clearly Arizonsaurus has rauisuchian characters. Just as clearly, on
parts they have in common, there is not much in common â??â?? except that
neural spine.
Well, could this be a Dimetrodon-Edaphosaurus deja vú?
And phylogenetically, what follows? A bunch of smaller to tiny warm-bloods?
Perhaps it is history repeating itself.
Just wondering.
