I don't know. Prior to this, Weta Digital was modeling
mythical bipedal serpents, with wings. The closest
thing to sauropods that they ever did would be the
Ents.

Speaking of Jackson's sauropods, does anyone know what
sauropod they were modeling it after? It looks like
_Camarasaurus_, only MUCH bigger. Seriously; slow down
the trailer and compare the size of the sauropod's
head to Jack Black's body.
