It is noteworthy that despite the considerable
lambeosaur variety that existed in the late Campanian,
E. regalis is the only hadrosaur in the near marine
unit 1. Lambeosaurs also seem essentially excluded
from the far inland Nemegt. They appear to have
existed mainly in the intermediate areas but
apparently no longer by Scollard times. The point I
wanted to make previously is that a cool climate is
most likely not the reason for the apparent absence of
lambeosaurs etc from the Scollard. They went farther
north than that.
