Wow,
This is exactly what I did out of Cal State University Fullerton for
the Anaheim School district in 1975 -1977. It was one of the best art
and science assignments I ever had. I brought in all sorts of
materials to draw from and the college wasn't sure it would work but
they underestimated the 2nd graders I taught! They enjoyed the minimal
dissection and extensive drawing a great deal. It was my first
teaching experience and got me hooked on the idea. I am glad to see
that people still do this 30 years later.
