New dinosaur and nature programs from Impossible Pictures

'Dinosaurs' maker unveils nature programs

LONDON -- Impossible Pictures, the British company behind hit CGI
docudocu skeinskein "Walking With Dinosaurs," has announced a slate of
commissions including co-productions with Discovery, Animal Planet,
BlightyBlighty's ITV and BBC, France's M6 and Germany's ProSieben.
The new shows, "Prehistoric Park," "Ocean Odyssey" and "T-Rex -- 100
Years in Pictures," are all big-budget event programming aimed at the
international market.
The six-part "Prehistoric Park" is a co-prod of ITV1, ProSieben, Animal
Planet, M6 and Fremantle Intl. It features zoologist Nigel Marven
introducing a cast of extinct creatures from the age of the dinosaur.
"Ocean Odyssey," the latest linkup of the BBC and Discovery, aims to
bring auds spectacular re-creations of underwater volcanic eruptions
and earthquake storms.
"T-Rex," a one-hour special produced by the BBC, ProSieben, Animal
Planet and Granada Intl., is a tongue-in-cheek celebrity biog of the
planet's most famous dinosaur.
