That's true, and the lower channeled facies tend to contain a concentrate
of polychronous taxa (a reworked mishmash of skeletal remains from
earlier Hell Creek times), whereas elements collected in the upper
paleosols have a greater probability of representing truely coeval taxa,
albeit in fewer numbers compared to the channeled facies.
