  Using such imagery or belief to name geologic features is nothing new. "Pele"
is a type of lava named for the Hawai'ian goddess of fire and mother of the
islands, whereas Chatterjee's Shiva Crater is named for the Hindu goddess of
death, destruction (and rebirth), Siva (or or spelled, but pronounced the same,
Shiva). Sometimes belief systems can give us names for things we would not
ordinarily have, or become iconic and therefore useful. *Anhanguera* is named
for a spiritual being, and *Kokopellia* (yes, a mammmal) is named for a sort of
demi-god. *Kakuru* and *Wonambu* are both named for two different tribes' name
for the same essential icon, the Rainbow Serpent, which is revered (and
sometimes feared) in aboriginal lore.

  Thus "Kristendomslava" should not be surprising.
