       I think Harri is using "amphibian" as a description of lifestyle 
rather than as a description of phylogenetic "level". In that sense, a 
human who lived a lifestyle of croaking on floating leaves and eating 
the occasional fly could be counted an amphibian while remaining 
phylogenetically as a mammal.
