Access to the Bone Cellar (Knochen Keller)

Building work connected with the refurbishment of parts of the permanent
exhibition in the museum means that the bone cellar (knochen keller) which
houses much of the Tendaguru Dinosaur material, other dinosaur remains from
Germany and large bones from the fossil mammal collection, must be closed
immediately and will not be accessible until the start of 2006 at the earliest.

Please note that this does not affect the main vertebrate collections
containing most of the fish, amphibian, some reptile, bird and mammal material,
which is located in a different part of the museum.

Further information regarding access to the vertebrate collections can be
obtained from the curators:

Wolf-Dieter Heinrich, Chief Curator Fossil Vertebrates
(dieter.heinrich@museum.hu-berlin.de).
Gloria Arratia, Curator Fossil Fish: (gloria.arratia@museum.hu-berlin.de).
Oliver Hampe, Curator Fossil Amphibians: (oliver.hampe@museum.hu-berlin.de).
David Unwin, Curator Fossil Reptiles and Birds: (david.unwin@rz.hu-berlin.de).
