grant to fund the study of Antonio progress

We are almost half way on our gathering of small change to fund 
dinosaur science and from only 19 donors.  The rest of you non donators 
know who you are.  The US portion of the DML fund to help completely 
fund the study the basal Hadroaur "Antonio" by Italian Paleontologist 
Fabio Marco Dalla Vecchia is up to 405 dollars.  Some payments have 
been made to Fabio's paypal account   fabdalla@tin.it    .  I remind 
those of you that have not donated and do not want to use paypal, to 
make the check out to me, Frank Bliss and send it to 1107 Parks Rd, 
Weston, Wyoming 82731.  My next mail drop is Friday. Anything you can 
send will help in raising the roughly 1000 US dollars needed to fund 
the study.  Fabio will be helped by the favorable exchange rate in the 
tranfer from dollars to euros as well.

Thank you to those of you that have donated to the fund.  I am sure 
funds will trickle in as more of you on the list realize that this way, 
you can make a contribution to important research in dinosaur science.  
All for the cost of a Wendy's meal!  If everyone on the list sends 10 
bucks, we would be funding other research as well.  I have been told by 
an executive board member of the National Foundation for the 
Geosciences that they would be willing to take these funds and 
distribute them to Fabio so I do not suffer a tax disadvantage as a 
result.  For this grant project, I will still collect the funds, make a 
contribution to them, and they will bank transfer Fabio the grant.  If 
this is a successful campaign, we could make contributions yearly to 
them and vote for its use on list.

I have not cashed any of the checks yet and will wait until I have the 
total amount to do so. Therefore you anal checkbook balancers out there 
(you know who you are!) , your next bank statement may not show the 
check.  I will announce when I will cash the checks.

If you don't see your initials, I either haven't received them yet or 
you haven't pried open your checkbook yet. ;-)  Of course our goal is 
roughly 3 times that we have collected so far.  Fabio tells me that he 
has gotten roughly 20 UK pounds and 15 dollars US from his paypal 
account.  Partially funded research is not good research so dig deep 
subscribers and cut a check!
